About Valua Partners

Valua Partners is an enterprise finance partner for growth-stage and established businesses. We combine disciplined accounting operations, CFO-level advisory, and strategic finance to deliver board-ready reporting, predictable close, and decision-grade insights. Our team brings deep transaction, reporting, and operational finance experience across multiple industries – including traditional operating companies and emerging sectors.

The Opportunity

We’re seeking a Financial Analyst to join our FP&A, reporting, and strategic finance work across a portfolio of clients. The ideal candidate will work directly with senior finance leaders to build models, improve forecasting, produce board materials, and deliver analyses that help leadership teams make faster, better decisions.

This is a high-ownership role with exposure to executive stakeholders and real operational finance problems (not just internal reporting).

Responsibilities

FP&A & Reporting

  • Build and maintain monthly reporting packs (KPIs, trends, variance analysis, commentary)
  • Support budgeting, reforecasting, and scenario planning (base / upside / downside)
  • Create dashboards and clear executive visuals for leadership and board audiences

Modeling & Decision Support

  • Build 3-statement models, cash forecasts, and unit economics analyses
  • Perform pricing, margin, and profitability analysis across products/regions/entities
  • Support fundraising, lender reporting, and ad-hoc strategic analyses as needed

Process & Data Improvement

  • Improve data quality and reporting cadence by tightening inputs and workflows
  • Help streamline reporting processes (templates, automation, consistency checks)
  • Partner with accounting/ops teams to ensure numbers tie out and tell the truth

Qualifications

  • 2+ years in FP&A, transaction services, consulting, banking, or corporate finance
  • Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills (modeling, clean structure, speed + accuracy)
  • Comfort explaining financial results to non-finance stakeholders
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in clean, defensible work
  • Experience with Power BI / Tableau, SQL, or automation tools
  • Familiarity with QuickBooks, NetSuite, Xero, or similar systems
  • Exposure to multi-entity structures, cross-border reporting, or treasury/cash planning
  • Progress toward CFA/CPA (or equivalent training)

Benefits

  • Competitive base salary: $95,000 to $130,000 depending on experience
  • Join a skilled and successful team – learn from experienced colleagues that will contribute to your professional growth.
  • Direct work with senior finance leaders and executive stakeholders
  • Essential tools, training, and skills development – we invest in your professional development
  • Clear career advancement paths – grow your career with opportunities for promotion
  • Perks for high performers – be recognized and rewarded for your achievements
  • Be part of an award-winning, inclusive culture – work in a collaborative and supportive environment

3 Statement Financial Model

Create your own 3-statement model for a company – specifically, the balance sheet, income statement, and statement of cash flows. It is a very simplified template that should be used to better understand how the 3 financial statements work in unison. It’s plug-and-play: enter your own numbers (or formulas) and the outputs will auto-populate.

Private Equity Distribution Model

This is a simplified template that allows you to create your own PE distribution waterfall for returning capital to the LPs, GPs, etc with different fund structures. It’s plug-and-play: enter your own numbers (or formulas) and the outputs will auto-populate.

Discounted Cash Flow Model

This template is a simplified 3-statement model with a DCF and Weighted Average Cost of Capital (WACC) to demonstrate how the Enterprise Value and Equity Value of a company is determined. It’s plug-and-play: enter your own numbers (or formulas) and the outputs will auto-populate.

Valua Partners LBO Model

Build a private equity LBO model using flexible financing/debt inputs and supporting schedules. It’s plug-and-play: enter your own numbers (or formulas) and the outputs will auto-populate. The template also includes all three financial statements, a discounted cash flow (DCF) analysis, and a sensitivity analysis.
